She now sells fruits door to door and hopes to go back to school after getting the school fees.

Alfah is a young boy.  He stays with her grand mother who felt sorry and took her after loosing both his parents.
He survives by helping his grand mother in selling local liquors in public gatherings.
He started school but was not able to continue with studies due to the fact that he had to spare most of his time selling liquors with his grandmother.

AGE: 12YEARS

Ibra is a jolly boy who survives on cutting papyrus from the near by swamp together with his mother to make mats which they sell to buy food and other necessities.
He is in  primary two but often misses when sent home for school fees which the mother cannot afford.
His class teacher says that Ibra could be doing better if he was not missing school.
He loves enjoying games like soccer and traditional dancing with his friends during his free time.

AGE: 15 YEARS
STATUS: LOST THE FATHER
Fred is a deaf boy living with his mother and siblings who survive on subsistence crop growing.
He has much interest in practical skills and at one time joined a garage to motorcycle mechanics but failed  due  to lack of funds from his widowed mother.
He is so much interested in mechanics and he always try his level best to innovate new things  about mechanics and he is eager to know much about it.

She is a young girl who lives with her widowed mother in a mud and wattle house where they survive in a miserable condition.
She goes to a nearby nursery school which lacks facilities for proper education and learners sit in dust while studying.
She is joyful and likes learning, dancing and playing ball games and so lovely  to her friends. She has a lot  of hope to make it in life.

Grace is a deaf girl who has never been to school. She stays with her poor widowed mother who sells fruits in the nearby market on Fridays for their survival
She survives by digging in the garden with her mother. She has much interest in practical skills especially tailoring. According to my observation, she can learn tailoring or sweater weaving.

Rajab is a cheerful energetic boy who stays with his paternal grand parents because his mother abandoned him at the door post after his father’s death.
He does not go to school and stays home with his grand father looking after their goat. He says that he feels sad when he sees others going to school when he does not have the same chance.

Catherine is a cheerful young girl who stays with her mother at the mother’s grand parents where they survive on subsistence crop growing.
She goes to a nearby nursery school which lacks facilities for proper education and learners sit in dust while studying.
Although she is much interested in studying, the mother cannot afford her fees because she also stays with her grandparents for survival.

Allan is a bright small boy who was neglected by his father after the a sudden death of his mother and now stays with his maternal grandmother.
He has never got any opportunity to go to school because the poor grand mother cannot afford the school fees.
He likes enjoying games with his sibling at home like running, dancing and story telling to the friends.

Brenda is a jovial girl  whose father died when she was around 5 years.
she stays with her mother in a single rented room together with her other two siblings, Chri Sserwadda  and Henry Ssuuna.
She goes to St. Bernard Nursery school, a nearby village school in a house spare room .

Henry is quite a jolly boy. His father died when he was about 2 years old and was left with his mother and his two siblings.
He goes to St. Bernard Nursery school and sits in the same class with her sister Brenda.
Their widowed mother survives on subsistence crop growing and tilling other people’s gardens for a payment.
He lacks the basic life necessities like food, clothes and roofing. His school is quite in poor conditions and would wish to go to a primary school.

Akisam is a happy young boy who lost the mother at around 3 years and denied by the father. He now stays with his maternal grandmother in a grass thatched house.
The grandmother sells local liquor for their survival and the boy did not go to school last year due to lack of school fees.
The poor grandmother cannot afford to look after him and his other relatives that stays with her.
Akisam says he wishes to go back to school.

Akisam muheirwe is a happy young girl. Her mother died on her birthday and the father denied her. She now stays with her maternal grand mother in a grass thatched house together with her brother Akisam Kasirabwe.
Their grandmother sells local liquor for survival. The girl is ready for school, but the grand mother says she will not start because he lacks money to pay her fees.
She lacks even other basic needs like food and clothes.
NAME: LAWRENCE SSEBWATO
AGE: 7 YEARS
STATUS: LOST THE MOTHER
Lawrence is a very happy young boy. His mother died in 2013 when he was about 2 years old. His mother was staying with her aunt and nothing is known about his father. When his mother died, Lawrence remained at the hands of the mothers aunt. The old lady stays in Nyendo town with no formal job, she survives on donations from her children.
Lawrence goes to a nearby primary school but the old lady, whom he now calls mother can not afford the payments because town schools are expensive. At school, he is liked by his teachers for being a cheerleader. He enjoys singing and playing football which he makes from polythene bags and banana fibers.

AGE: 3 YEARS
STATUS: LOST THE MOTHER
Madinah is a young girl who stays with her grandmother after the death of her mother in June last year. Her father is a village casual laborer who can not provide her with any basic need.
The grand mother also tills other people’s gardens for a payment which she uses to buy them food.
They stay is a mud and grass thatched house with almost no beddings and tattered cloths. She loves playing and joking with friends when at home with her grand mother.

AGE: 6 YEARS
STATUS: LOST THE MOTHER
Teddy is a young  girl who lost her mother at around 2 years. She stays with her maternal grand mother and her father is not known at all.
The grandmother grows maize and beans to provide food for the family.
Teddy has never been to school, because the poor grandmother cannot afford to  pay her school fees, because she is very old and sickly and can no longer work effectively.
She lacks other life necessities.

Mariam is a cheerful girl who lost both her parents in a fatal road accident.  She now stays with her grandmother in a permeable house. Due to the fact that both parents she did not get any chance to go to school until now because her grandmother spends all the  little she gets buying alcohol.
She has interest in singing, dancing and interacting with friends which she can best do when given chance to go to school.

Sarah is a humble girl who lives with her grandmother in a home of ten members five of which are orphans. They survive by selling local brew with their grandmother.
She likes dancing, playing the rope, jumping and netball, together with her friends. She goes to nearby school but she is often sent back home to collect school fees which is not always ready.
She lacks life necessities like beddings, food
,cloth, shelter and other basic needs.

AGE: 7 YEARS
STATUS: LOST THE father
Aidah is a young girl who labors most of her time fetching water for the villagers who in return give her food. This is because her mother abandoned her after the death of her father to her late father’s aunt who has a family of many members.
She is cheerful, friendly and likes caring all the time but she has never got a chance to join any school for formal learning. She also lacks essential necessities like beddings and food. She sleeps with other three siblings on a banana fiber mat covering themselves with backcloth.
